WARNING An Extreme Horror story. Not intended for sensitive audiences

Deep in the heart of Texas sits The Country Club. At the Club, the super wealthy explore their deepest darkest fantasies and desires. Some of them are too horrific to imagine.

Crystal is a blogger who investigates Texas Urban Legends. No one believes the Club actually exists. She sets out to expose the Club and their atrocities to the world. In her search, she finds the truth is much worse than she could have ever imagined.

The Country Club The One Percent Book 1 edition by Tim Miller Literature Fiction eBooks

Usually when I start reading a book, there's a certain amount prologue to set things up before you get to the meat of the story. Not with Tim Miller's Country Club. There's no wining and dining, there's no movie and make out session, there's no under the sweater action or even the slightest foreplay. Tim throws the reader into an orgy of gore, torture, blood, and depravity with no condom or lube. The Country Club is tough read in the extreme horror genre. There isn't just horrific scene after horrific scene. There's actually a great story behind the disturbing scenes and plenty of fast paced action towards the end. My favorite from Tim Miller so far.

The Country Club The One Percent Book 1 edition by Tim Miller Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I love a good torture gore-fest from time to time so this short read was up my alley. If one takes the GIVEN away--the obvious sense of deja vu' of having read this kind of novel or seen this type of film before--this is crafted meticulously and there is little wasted/superfluous sections or even sentences. I liked the waynthe author described both the larger and smaller details and his semse of the human anatomy appears to be quite sound! Lol. Anyway, I enjoyed The Country Club. Nice job Tim Miller.
I have been on a mission to read all of the Tim Miller authored books that are my kindle and I have numerous but to me the most exciting has been The Country Club! It has all the gore of the other Tim Miller books I've read but this one a unique story that is truly F@&$?! Up!
It seems like something that can happen in Texas and as a proud Texan myself it was terrifying. I love that Tim Miller is a Texas author and that he never deviates from setting his stories in this great state!
It may sound sick, but this book was a fun read. LOTS of torture and creative murders, which are helpful since the story itself is a bit too similar to Hostel. I thought a lot of the reactions throughout the book were ridiculous, and the amount of cursing was just downright unrealistic, but overall it was an entertaining read since I enjoy the Hostel movies this was based on. One thing that was distracting, however, was the amount of typos within these 182 pages. Hope no one was paid more than crackers to proof this thing. I would still recommend this to anyone who enjoys horror movies and wants to see more book options such as The Country Club available!
This book is obviously not for the faint hearted as you can see by some earlier reviews. Is this book violent? Yes. Is this book full of blood & gore? Yes. But you know that from reading the book description. That's what got me to read the book. What I wasn't expecting was a great story that kept you interested from start to finish. A book with great characters that have you rooting for & against them. A book that's hard to put down, and one that you can't wait to pick back up again. That's what is making me read more Tim Miller!
Holy cow! Was this a a book or a movie?!? Either way this book as everything it needs to be a motion picture! Gore, blood, twists and turns. Tim Miller is a genius with horror books, hands down! If you like horror films, and ways to get your mind turning, well this is most definitely the book and author for you!
Does 'The Country Club' really exist?

Blogger Crystal and their friends sure found out when urban myth became unimaginable reality.
The story is short, sweet, and to the serrated point.
Right off the bat you have a terrifying torture kill that will make you put the book down for a second in disbelief.
From there the story develops into a thrill ride of adventure and horror.
The way the club is set up and the history behind it is greatly explained and illustrated in the antagonists' interactions with their victims. And once those seeking its existence get there, all hell breaks loose in all sorts of ways.

When you get started reading 'The Country Club', it's hard to put it down. And the ending does not disappoint, leaving it open for sequels (which I believe there are).
The only suggestion to the author is to proofread it a little more. Some spelling/grammatical errors I found made it a bit hard to understand what was written/said at first.

Great job, Tim!
Let me start by stating that I’m not that interested in the horror genre. However, I’ve read the occasional Stephen King book and find that reading horror can be both entertaining and cleanses the palate from the usual crime fiction and young adult fiction that I prefer. I like storytelling in all of its forms. Country Club surprised me. I thought it would be just another slasher story, but the story had depth, heart and structure. It completely disgusted me. But, it was a pretty well told story. And, Tim Miller has an extremely vivid imagination. He could shock Marilyn Manson. There are things in this story that you can’t un-read. I read a few reviews and thought, no biggee, it can’t be that extreme. I was wrong. This is very extreme gore (in places).
Some reviewers gave him very low ratings, 1 star, etc. I disagree with them. You may be upset with the content (gore, violence, etc.) but you knew that was what you were going to get from the beginning. The bottom line is that while I really don’t care that much for this genre, I find it to be an interesting change of pace once in awhile, and I have to admit that Tim is taking it to a new level. It kept me turning the page. I would prefer to give this 4.5 stars, but since that is not an option, I’ll round up to 5 stars. However, it should be noted that though the story is good and there’s plenty of sincerely creepy stuff here, there were a few (not too many, but a noticeable amount) significant typos and grammatical errors. These things are completely fix-able and I hope the author does re-edit. I'm an author myself, I've had this same problem. I can read through that stuff, but they really do keep this from being a completely pro product. I applaud Tim for his imaginative storytelling, my only criticism is that he needs a better proofreader.
